Wilson Homestead

Said to have been built by Moses Harkness Wilson, in the fairly early 1800's, who was my great, great, great grandfather, this is a place which many Wilson descendents have come to see. It is a place I have been drawn to and hope to get to see the inside of, when I next come to visit. I have forever wanted to see the trunk full of old family papers and such. I am ever so grateful that it is still standing, being the history, genealogy lover that I am. I remember when I first started researching nine years ago, I was surprised to learn that this Wilson branch, that I am a part of, is one of the most researched. If Moses Harkness Wilson built this home, then my great great Grandfather Sampson Wilson, the son of Moses Harkness Wilson, was born there in 1839 and my Great Grandfather Moses Sampson Wilson was born there in 1865. What a wonderful place this is. Not far from the house, Moses Sampson (Bud) Wilson is buried, with his wife Talitha Foley Wilson. And various other Wilson's buried there as well.

THE BARNS
